I've spent at least the last 30 minutes trying to get one lousy photo to upload and the internet just won't comply. I don't have much clever to say today...Last night was the fireman's parade at the fair. It rained hard in the afternoon but had stopped for the parade. As I was one of 3 pulling our antique hose cart we got to skip the muddy arena. The guys who always pick carrying the flags (it's "easier") were not happy that they still had to march in the mud.
Tonight I am demonstrating open hearth cooking again with Italian night. I'm making egg noodles for chicken noodle soup, cavatelli with fresh tomtatoes/mozzarella and garganelli with summer veggies. We are also going to make cornbread and sweet potato biscuits. I probably won't get to take any pictures again as I just found out my camera battery is dead and no time to charge it since I best get on the road. Lets hope I can get a photo posted tomorrow...I better try from my office where I have a better connection...
Don't forget to come back Friday for not just one but two linky parties and prize announcements!
TWO linky parties AND prizes?!? Wow!! Haha on the guys who picked the "easy" way out. Guess the joke's on them!! Are you enjoying fair week? When will you know something about your (our) beautiful quilt?!?! :) :) :)
ReplyDeleteMy mouth is sooo watering right now. Love Italian food and that all sounds wonderful!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing everyone's hexie projects.
I haven't been to a fair in years - sounds like a good pay=back to me.
ReplyDeleteAt least you didn't have to march in the mud....
ReplyDeleteI hope the weather isn't too hot for open fire cooking.
I would have loved attending your demonstration - it all sounds so good.
