Recently, needing a change, I resurrected an older hexie project - The Bathroom Floor quilt, so named because it's inspired by the bathroom floor in my office.
I'll be doing the borders as Seminole Piecing - a favorite technique I haven't used in a while so I'm excited to get to that point.
The highlighted/yellow in the diagram below is what's done already - still a lot to do...
Inspiration is all around us, even in the bathroom. lol. The quilt will be stunning!
ReplyDeleteOlá!Sou totalmente viciada em hexágonos e adorei seu projeto, parabéns.Te seguindo vou acompanhar.Beijos.
ReplyDeleteSince I have not gotten anything done on my hexie quilt, I shared an old post of mine! I should get some quilting done this weekend while I'm out of town though!
ReplyDeleteOh, your bathroom floor quilt has made me want to do hexies, something I thought I would never ever ever do! LOL. So much for that!
ReplyDeleteHow did you get the neutral tiles to look like they have grout in them.
It is incredible
Fabulous project! Enjoy the process.
ReplyDeleteThanks for pointing out your linky party! your project looks great!
ReplyDeleteI love hexies and have made two GFG quilts. I've been saving the blow-out cards from magazines and have a hexagon punch to do another hexie quilt. I, too, take photos of floors. *smile*
ReplyDeleteRats! I don't have anything hexie to share ... but I have an idea ... I'll try to get my act together by Wednesday! LOL! In the meantime, your Bathroom Floor quilt (and you know I love the name) is coming along 'swimmingly'! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for offering a safe haven for our slow projects. I hope to join in next time.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great project! And it just goes to show that there is quilty inspiration EVERYWHERE!
ReplyDeleteThis looks fantastic.
