Pepper here.
I heard Momma say that today is Good Friday and I thought that it was as Good a Friday as any to talk about proper birdiewatching protocol.
The goldfinches are turning gold again!! |
Anyway...enough about her.
The best viewing is to be low to the ottoman with eyes level to the window casing while waiting for birdies to arrive.
Once there are birdies, it is imperative to lower the ears. Ears scare birdies.
If the birdies appear comfortable, you can raise your head and get closer to the window but the ears must stay lowered.
Trust me - this works! Have a Good Friday! And a Hoppy Easter! And a good Passover!
Many fail to understand the importance of the lowered ears!! I will pass that tip on to my girls!
ReplyDeleteso cute! I always wonder what my cats are saying when they talk to the birds in that weird "I'm looking at the birds" lang.
ReplyDeleteGood Friday? Every Friday is GOOD when there is a Feline Friday.
ReplyDeleteGreat tips Pepper. Sparky once caught a bird, but has taken no interest since - I think he felt he had proved a point. Suzi, like you, loves to watch the birds though.
Pepper is clearly a bird watching expert.
ReplyDeleteWe have linked up again. I do not know why my linky picture did not crop properly but I could not change it. I showed my visiting quilty kitty helper, also named Pepper.
Thanks for hosting this feline fun ... :) Pat
You've made me LOL today Pepper! Perfect ear position and all...
ReplyDeleteBahaha! Pepper does a mean demo! *Love* the flat ears, especially--good tip! :)
