Just a few hexie updates to share...

As much as I really wanted this "secret" project done before I go camping, the "contest" I want to enter has yet to be announced so that I can make sure it fits the parameters. If they don't announce soon I'll just make my project so I can enjoy it and maybe do something else for the "contest."

Just 6 more stars to add!
Then I just need to fill in the sides so it's all straight sided - easier to bind that way :)

Hmm...photo bombed again. Midgie says Happy Fourth of July to her fellow Americats!
These are the 5 rosettes I have done. I thought it would be bigger laid out...I'm gonna have to make a lot more if I want this bed size. Thankfully I have lots of great batiks to use!

  1. Oh wow, this is great. Your star hexies are so pretty. But I can't start anything new now, or can I?

  2. Isn't that always the case? Need more to make it how you envisioned! Lol! Can't tell you how many times that has happened to me. Then the seemingly manageable project becomes HUGE!

  4. Midgie doesn't look too happy to be wishing us a happy anything! : )
All of your EPP projects are amazing. How do you do it? And I have another question--do you still own a sewing machine? *LOL*

  6. I am new to paper piecing, so I was worried about having too many projects going at the same time. The more I look around at other blogs the more I realize my desire to do more is perfectly normal. I love all of the projects you have started. You have been a great encouragement to me.

I should show you some of my past Hexy projects....

  8. I could never get one of my cats to hold still while wearing a hat, long enough for me to take a picture!

I love how you've taken basic hexagon shapes and given them a whole new look with your piecing and layout. Genius! And gorgeous!
