Design Wall Monday - 4/13/15 - Good, Better, Bad

Good - On Thursday, I finished my penultimate Value Proposition rosette!

Better - Just minutes ago I finished the VERY last Value Prop rosette!!!

Bad - now I need to decide on a layout for all my rosettes so I can get to putting them together. Ugh, a stressful job in my eyes so it might take a while. I won't spend more than a couple days tho since I have an overnight conference this weekend and I'll have some quality hotel time available on a king size bed watching cable tv!! (a luxury I do not have at home)

PS - And just so certain people won't think I have forgotten how to use my machine - I also put together a pile of 4-patches for my Ruby Beauty quilt (altho I think it needs a better name!). I needed at least 50 to finish according to my original plan but then I got to thinking I might want to make it bigger so there is more overhang on the bed. I still need to make HSTs to go with the 4patches so I guess I'll decide if we are going bigger after the HSTs are done. Heaven forbid I have to make 2 big decisions this week. LOL!!

  1. Lovely rosettes! I do feel that the most difficult part of a hexie quilt is the final put together. My Monet's City has come to a grinding halt as I cannot decide how to: either continue or to just stop...I had thought of adding more rounds, but nothing has clicked as yet. So, the City is hanging out with those hissing snakies....who knows what they are up to???lol hugs, Julierose

  2. Gorgeous blocks, but my mind shuts down when I try to consider how to put them together. Good luck!!
Oh, do you still have a machine? *LOL*

  3. Love the rosettes - since I have never made one, I can't help with the setting/finish.

  4. Yahoo - the Value Proposition blocks look great! Don't stress out about putting them together. What I do is pick my favourite blocks and put them in the centre. I then select my least favourite and put them in the corners. I just fill in the quilt with the rest of the blocks. You'll be surprised how quickly it will come together!

  5. Good finish. I followed all of the blocks & plan on doing them when I get a few major projects done. Nice to see them all together!! Have fun putting them together, while watching cable!!
