You knew I would aim for the new quilt right? I can catch up on the temp quilt in no time so it was an easy decision.
The quilt uses 1" honeycomb shapes and it's all random neutral fabrics, 2 of each fabric that I currently have. When the honeycomb section is large enough to make a dolly quilt I'll decide on a silhouette to applique on the quilt.

As usual, I am designing/flying by the seat of my pants and have no ideas yet for the silhouette...
Love those in neutrals--looks like Z does too...lol hugs, Julierose
ReplyDeleteI tend to design with the "fly by the seat of my pants" method as well. So effective, don't you think?
ReplyDeleteMy guess is Z is trying to show you how his silhouette would look on the neutrals. Now that he has seen himself as the focal point of a quilt he will never get enough attention. :)
The new quilt is looking great! It is still hot where I live. Here is my most recent progress report on year 3 of the temperature quilt - https://hokkaidokudasai.blogspot.com/2019/09/monday-morning-star-count-week-17.html
ReplyDeleteThat honeycomb pattern looks very interesting! Like it's symmetrical and chatic at the same time.
ReplyDeleteI think Janet hit the nail on it's head. You've created a monster and he wants to be featured in every piece you make.
