Wednesday Weather Report #205 - 4/21/21

We had a slight change in the weather today...it's just temporary tho!! 60s and 70s are back in the forecast for the next couple of weeks so I'm enjoying the snow while I can.

Despite appearances, I did have a wonderful walk this morning. I did laugh, tho, when Zorro refused to go outside but I was pleased as punch to do so. It was the perfect temperature to get some exercise and the snow was pretty. I made it home just as the sidewalks got slippery. The only issue was not being able to see through my wet glasses.

Oh and might I add a Merry Christmas to the mix!

This plant has another flower about to open and the white cactus has a few buds just starting. The red cactus is working on new leaves and the orange cactus is still getting used to its new home and not doing much of anything. I don't think I've ever had blossoms this late in the year - usually late/November, December and January/February. Last fall was an early start with blossoms for election day and it looks like I'll still have flowers in May.

  1. We have had a mix bag -rain, sleet, winds, snow. Good indoor sewing time and sat with Mom for a while helping with a puzzle.

  2. My poor tulips were flattened. Hopefully the snow will melt quickly and and they will recover. We had 5". I think my cactus just finished their last blooms. Of course, the Easter cactus has not bloomed.

  3. It seems only appropriate that if your Christmas cactus is blooming, that you have snow on the ground. That'll shake things up a bit in your temps! We were 31 degrees here when I woke up this morning ... and 53 degrees inside. LOL! Hopefully that furnace comes in soon ... just in time for the 80 degrees we're forecasting for next week. HA! :)

  4. I really hope this is the last of the snow. I had 3 cacti that just finished blooming. Now about half of the orchids are in bloom and most of the African Violets hare blooming or budded. The hyacinths didn't fare as well, but maybe they'll pop back up since the sun is shining today.
