I think animals learn their place within their realm. This speaks volumes! : )
I think they're all just searching for that perfect, sunny spot. I do love cats. And calico cats *do* enjoy being the boss! :)
Definitely hierarchy. The one laying on the couch has it's ears in the "irritated" position!
