Almost Wordless Wednesday

I love fall with it's many colors - the blue-gray skies before a storm, the bare trees, the green evergreens/walnuts and the yellow/orange maples. No reds yet in my 'hood...

Mugrugs

Too much cutting apart and not enough sewing back together can make a sane person insane so I worked on a couple mug rugs this morning and then went back to cutting.


Yes, there are chunks of my mat missing and yes, it is time to buy a new one.



This tiny Dresden (yes, that is a hexie in the middle...who wants to make perfect circles?) will go on a blue background and be backed with a sunflower fabric that matches the golds and blue.

Can you believe this is a disappearing 4 patch? It was super easy...finding the proper backing will be harder than it was to make the block!

Design Wall Monday - 10/7/13

Box = cut with all the "pieces" present.
Tray = cut but need to buy something else.
Piles = needs to be cut and half finished mug rugs.
Black basket = new hexie project!

 I'm trying to be organized how I prepare for the holiday bazaars this year...

Oh stop laughing!

Last week I picked out matching fabrics and trims or zippers, if I had them.

Yesterday I started cutting so that when I go back to the LQS next weekend, I'll know what I need to buy.

And in the meantime, everything is a mess and I can't find my sewing machine and the felines have no place to sit :)
