The last F.A.R.T. of the season...

Or at least I hope it's the last F.A.R.T* for quite some time. I'm out of moola after 3 recent FARTS and signing up for a Bonnie Hunter trunk show and class this fall. Only 132 days, 6 hours, 21 minutes and 49 seconds until the trunk show.

Last week was my annual clerk's conference and my roommate and I drove together. When she first asked if we wanted to drive together my only question to her was if it was ok to stop at a quilt store. Since I have recently sucked her into hexies it wasn't a hard sell!!

On the way to conference we stopped at Patchwork Plus in Marcellus. I had been to this store two years ago and, given the number of bolts they stock, knew I needed to go with a shopping list. I just barely stuck to the list :)

Fat Quarters were buy 10 get 1 free: I'm not at liberty to share some of them since they are for my guild secret sister!
The oranges are for my Salt & Pepper hexie project, the greens and browns for my POTC hexie project, the words and giraffes are just because and Lisa talked me into the pupplies cuz you can fussy cut them! LOL
I've been looking for more of these needles for ages. Given that I have lost 2 in the last few months and the others are "molded" to my fingers I was getting a little worried. I had called around to the shops (including this one) and no one carried Richard Hemming and Son needles. Except, low and behold, when we walk in the store there they were. When I first bought a pack of these needles, 6 years ago,  they were only $1.60. Times have changed..
Yes - I adore Downton Abbey! I bought the castle fabric for the back and I'll add in more purples for the front: I'm designing a table runner as a class idea....
During conference, as we were getting ready for bed, Lisa asked me if there were any other quilt stores around to check out. She's such an enabler!!! I pulled out my trusty smart phone and pulled up Google ... On the way home we stopped at Almost One of a Kind Quilts in Ballston Spa. It was a cute little store and of course I found more to buy. I know - you are sooooo surprised.

Our purchases were packed in these fabric bags. I assume they were made from scraps but they were only basted so it was easy to frog out and add to the scrap bins. I love bonus fabric!
I picked up some chocolate fabrics since I am still telling myself to make choco themed items to sell at the local ice cream/chocolate shop called Sweet Sarahs (perfect name, huh??!!). I also found the shirting candy pack and 2 cute rulers. The tumbler will be used to cut scraps instead of the other ruler I had hacked for the job and the mini hex-n-more doesn't have a purpose yet but I will find one soon. It was just too cute to leave at the store. Can you see that both rulers are on ball chains?
Hmm...when I went to put the shirtings in my pre-cut drawer I discovered I now have 4 candy packs waiting to be used.
I best get on that...
Last but not least, I had my hexified jean jacket on while shopping at the store. The owner told me of a long ago project she saw where someone had modified a mans suit coat and used old ties to decorate it. I thought it sounded cool and was going to file the idea in my brain for later but she went and got a bagful out of the trunk of her car.
I best get on this idea too!!

Anyone want to go to work for me so I can use all my new goodies??

Oooh, that's fun!
We're going to canandaiga in June on a business trip with the Hubz. Do you know any good quilt shops up there? Like I need more fabric.

Some really nice pieces you picked up - the giraffes are just too cute. We've used the old ties (d-boned) to make dresdan blocks with - really cool look to them.

Maybe you and your coworker had better not travel together in the future! I think you enable each other! *LOL*
Looks like all kinds of fun!
